Chief Guest Mr. Narayan Prasad Bidari (Chief District Officer, Kailali) inaugurated the Green Far-west Project of Yeti Airlines in Kailali District (Sahid Sanhari Bhim Dutta Panta Community Forest Geta Dhangadhi) Kailali on 9th July 2010 along with our Programme partner Raaika Tours & Travels., General Sales Agent for Dhangadi.


We Planted 600 trees during the ceremony.


Head of the Police and chief of the army were also present in the ceremony along with the local government heads and other political representatives.


For every passenger that flies with us on the Kathmandu-Dhangadhi or Dhangadhi-Kathmandu route we will plant an appropriate tree sapling in one of the chosen community forests in the Far-Western region of Nepal. Hence if you fly on the Kathmandu-Dhangadhi sector we will plant one tree on your behalf. If you take a return flight, then we will plant two tree saplings on your behalf. Thus the more passengers that fly our airlines in this sector the more trees we will plant on their behalf


For this project Yeti Airlines do not have any funding bodies from outside, Yeti airlines will finance this project from its own fund.


Yeti Airlines aims to plant 10,000 trees in one year in the following regions.


01.Baskota Community forest
     Malakheti VDC ward no 9 ,Baskota
     Kailali District
     Total area 195 Hector



02.Shahid Sanghari Bhimdutta Panta Community Forest

     Geta VDC ward no 1 and 2
     Kailali District
     Total area 44.96 hector


03.Dhura Salleri Community Forest
     Sahajpur VDC ward no 2,KhaniDanda
     Kailali District
     Total area 199 Hector


04. Regional Head quarter Far west region / Rajpur / Doti
