Established in May 1998, Yeti Airlines Domestic Pvt. Ltd. is registered as a Private Limited Company. Yeti Airlines Domestic Pvt. Ltd. holds an “Air Operator Certificate” numbered 023/98 issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) on 17th August, 1998 to operate commercial domestic flights to various destinations of Nepal.
Yeti Airlines is Nepal's market leader in the domestic airline industry and has more than 60% of the total market share (as of January 2007). It has the widest domestic flight network and flies to almost all destinations in Nepal. The airline has served the isolated population of Nepal living in far-flung mountain areas by providing the only means of transportation and connection to the outside world. Yeti Airlines has also received permission for international operation in 2007.
Yeti Airlines with the 'Yeti' as its mascot, is a unique, Nepali airline. Progressive and philanthropic, Yeti Airlines has always strived to serve the people of Nepal and beyond by providing affordable air-connections and quality service.
Having made a modest beginning, the airline has assumed a larger responsibility now. Yeti Airlines is unarguably the only carrier flying to the remotest destinations in Nepal. In most cases, the only way that National and International relief aid as well as personnel can reach these locations is by a Yeti Airlines flight. We take immense pride in being able to connect our country as extensively as we do.
